Active membership shall be granted to any individual in the Eastern District actively engaged in directing bands or teaching wind and percussion instrumental music and is a member of the North Carolina Music Educators Association.

Each member of the organization must pay the $10.00 annual membership fee before he is eligible to receive any of the information from the district or have children participate in any district events. The deadline for membership for the 2009-2010 school year is October 1. After this deadline, the dues will be $75.00 - membership is not considered current until BOTH the online registration has been submitted and the dues have been paid.

In order for students to participate in any district event, such as All-District Auditions, Contest, or Solo and Ensemble Festival, the director must be a paid member by the registration deadline for that particular event.

This is an online form which is submitted directly to the district. At the end of the online registration process, you will have the opportunity to pay online using a credit card or PayPal account. You may also make dues payment separately by mailing to:
